Stallions
Great care is taken in selecting the stallions to put to our mares, looking to complement and enhance their existing natural abilities. Proven Eventing stallions have been selected, as well as successful sires such as Primitive Rising who was the leading Thoroughbred sire of Eventers for 1998 and 1999. Vin is also looking to use Thoroughbred Jumping sires such as the dual Jumping/Dressage horse Hand In Glove.
We are pleased to have stock from the now Olympic Stallion Jaguar Mail, the quality of whose progeny appears to be outstanding. Aware of the increasing importance of movement in event horses we have also used Sandreo and Dene San Ciro Hit - sons of the great 'Sandro Hit', but only on outstanding cross-country mares. The progeny are very smart, but only young at the moment.
Considerable trouble is taken to produce these mares, and Preci-Spark Ltd. is fortunate to have Sarah Cutteridge as its stable jockey. We greatly appreciate the training that Sarah had received under the Lottery funded World Class Performance Programme, and in particular from Tracie Robinson. This resulted in excellent performances from our horses. Their potential for producing eventing stars of the future must be considerable.
